Default Help with an escos

Hello peeps me and the wife have just sold our S1 and i was starting to look at saph cossies but she doesnt like them BUT does like the escorts and is paying the difference . So weve started to look for one but my question is:

Do they rust/rot like all other fords???

Im a little bit worried as our S1 was a bugger and had loads of welding underneath.

The cossie will be the everyday car, all weather etc....

And will it be reliable???

no m8 they dont get rot in them like other fords as there custom built shells but always check for the rust the only rusty spots on them is sills under kit at rear quite common the floor seem across the front arb mounting very common looked a several that were rusty there, there a very good all year car use mine in all weathers but ive put 4/5 litres of waxoyl everywhere since ive had mine, happy shopping you regret buying 1 its just finding a good 1 2 start with.

Great thanks for that.

Quick question, this may seem a bit mad but tonight i was behind a new bmw m3, how would a tuned escort cossie compare to this? What sort of power would the cossie need to wave goodbye to him?
