Default water and oil gauge for Ford Focus RS

Hey all...

new on the forum, just bought a 02 FRS, and loving it... had loads of fords before this one, 2 fiestas, an escort 1.4 , another focus, a 2.0 probe, 2.0 cougar, so i like the fords, that an my dad worked for ford so labour was cheap.. ha and plentiful!! the FRS obviously kicks ass compared to all previous!

ok so only annoying thing about the FRS is the lack of a water temp gauge, and oil temp (but not too bothered about that)... so gonna put a gauge pod up.. is it difficult to wire this in?? i really dont want to mess with the originallity of the car.. not into moddin reallly, used to be... so will ensure the pod is fully removeable with no dirty screw holes an like...

anyone have a wiring diagram that could help or even better sum pics would be great? cheers, an hopin theres still some FRS' left out there.. see too many on the web been smashed

best thing to do is get a scangauge mate no FRS should be without one , will let you keep eye on water temp and most important intake temps

The frs runs a charge cooler set up so it has a electric pump to push the water round the system, the electric pump is knowed for packing up...having a scangauge to moniter the intake temp will let you know if its working or not...worth getting one mate imo

thanks for that... i am ordering one tomorrow... not takin chances! do you know of any other issues the FRS is prone to??

I had a prob this wk, vacuum pipe blew off, reducing power and makin the car nearly undrivable... 90 euro to ford to figure this out an reseat the pipe.... made sure not to drive it when it was like this...

Is there an underlying cause for this do you think?

The best thing to do would be to ask the boys on the rsowners club, any issues/questions with the car and there sort you out.
