Just posted about this myself mate I contribute to the site and don't wanna see fooking Google making our pages smaller

 

Fucking pisstake doing that for paid up members IMHO, if people are supporting the site by paying they shouldnt have to put up with all that crap as well.

I have to say the original idea of passionford is quickly disapearing..
I don't come on here half as much as I did I have another forum I use dedicated to the marque I have and it has no silly adverts like this..

The probelm is steve i think most share your view i know i do, but the Admin / IB see it a diffrent way i think

If enough people leave and the reason is given as the adverts, then eventually it may be decided that they dont make commerical sense being there, if only a few dozen people leave (or none) then they will probably make commerical sense staying

EVERY decision made on PF from now on is going to be about money I would imagine, as the purpose of this site is to return revenue to shareholders, the whole "ford / cars" thing is only there as a commerical vehicle to allow them to facilitate the achievement of that commerical goal.

A great shame IMHO, but I will still use the site im sure, so im not going to make empty threats about leaving it.

 

Especially when you contribute £10 to the site and have to put up with what amounts to a load of Spam down the right of your screen!

Agreed, I think non paying forum users are fair game for adverts, but I dont think gold members should be continually spammed with them too.

If I was "A Plan Insurance" having paid good money to advertise with IB I'd be pretty miffed to say the least about seeing an advert for Norwich Union at the top, side and bottom aswell as mine

That doesn't alter the format of the page though does it? which i think is what most people have the probem with.
