Saw Martins 500bhp + engine on e-bay last night, was selling for not much over three grand with only an hour left to go on the sale.


Did he sell it.......... Just out of interest.

 

well i still got, and will proberly keep it as a spare,

it bid upto Ł3100 but e/bay can attrack a lot of time waisters just like any sort of addvertising ,

sold the plenum Ł1610

ecu Ł560

air to air Ł330

brakes / shell / ect ect wheels made 16k! plus

which means sold most parts for over 18k and still have the engine and turbo and some small bits,

perhaps i should have given it away

atleast the guy who has bought the car and a lot of bits has a 600 bhp engine on pectal t6 ect to drop straight in, he said it will be back on the road in two weeks


e/bay is an amazing thing, cost me Ł1.08p to addvertise the shell on there and had calls in 45 minates and had people trying to get me to end it early and put money in my bank in 2 hours


still got two more of these sierra left.

 

Guess the Three K Bid wasn't enough then .......

yep,

this engine must be worth 5k off anyones dosh,

not to worried as i would have had to sell the car for 18/19k to shift it,

and this way its gone with the same cash and these nice spares left over,

 

Almost put a bid in myself, but I guessed that you would want more than what was offered so didn't bother.

Sounds a nice engine, but I'm too far down the road with my new one at the moment.

Hope someone buys it who apprecieates what it is though.

i so hope its the one with the carbon bonnet etc and not one of the 2 "proper" ones

i saw that... i also noticed that markblackrs500 was also bidding really well on all you items even though he only registered 2 days after you listed them

maybe in future you should ask for bidders with low or no feedback to contact you first

 

mmmmmm got offerd a second chance buy it for Ł1000 threw ebay,as highest bidder hadn,t completed the deal,and so many ppl shout about ebay being a legly binnding agrement

new owner picked up the car tonight, and he was very happy,

looked very nice i even cleaned it for him,

sad to see it go, but atleast now i have some room for my new project,


there was no second chance offers done by me on e/bay they where skammers,

its a shame but you need you witts about you on e/bay now.

still not all bad sold 18k worth of stuff for under Ł10 and never had so much interest in bits before, onlt wish i had ten of everthing,

 

Whens the new car arrive then Martin ? Must be Mondeos in the air, im buying a load of bits tomorrow , wheels & tyres, struts , geometry and set up wheels etc...

Steve Papworth used his ' 99 car last weekend, think it ate the engine tho! Ive located quite a good supply of late Prodrive bits over the last week not far away .
You should talk to steve really , he may help you make up your mind either way
