Hi all ive put a wanted add up and have done the usual ebay, pistonheads, rsoc, S1turbo and rs16i.com.

Are there any other sites i can look where im likely to find an rs1600i, Id have thought thered be a lot about but there dont seem to be much about anywhere at the mo

 

i allways use rsiontour web site loads of help full folk on there and allways loads of cars and spares for sale

 

what sort of 1600i you after m8, everyday/concours ?? price etc

 

I registered last week, but it just keeps saying my account is awaiting administration. and ive have no confirmation email either.

I have bought one today. Black A reg 'DS' build code, nice wedge of history and hpi clear.

Its mid resto so with a bit of luck i may have it on the road for the summer.

Not sure to what standard im going for, its such a tidy rust free car with good history so part of me thinks i should get it as near as concourse as possible.

But i did this with my last S1 and ended up selling it as it upset me to use it.

I think im going to just go for tidy restored but useable, i want to be able to take it out in the summer and not worry that the zinc'd bolts are going rusty or that there is road tar splattered on the underbody.

I was supposed to be getting it home today, but after driving to weston super mare and back today (the worst day probably ever with the snow) it didnt happen, so i hope to get it back tommrow lunchtime.

Theres a black one on ebay, quite cheap, dont know any details though.

I looked at that a few weeks back Cat C and bloke seems to think its still worth a small fortune .
