hi, does anyone here have any experience with these starter-motors?

i've sent them a message asking what brand the starter was and the only answe i got was that it was a "copy"...

the startermotor on my 04 mondeo 2.0 tdci have been somewhat troublesome the last days, not fun when it's an automatic transmission...

any experience or tips, guys?

 

Ford do not make starter motors, so it could well be the same supplier to ford, but without ford tax added on.
When I needed ones for mondy petrol auto's, I found lucas do a almost exact copy, only the brush box is different, maybe to get around copyright/patent design rights whatever.
Looking at his feeback I would be happy to use one.

a new exchange-starter here in norway is about £300-400!! and that's not from my local Ford-company!!

anyone else with experience?

 

The last lucas one I bought outright was for a mondy auto and was £67 and still going strong 3 years later.
