Talking after some sdvice

Hello all im new an well ive had my s1 for thre yr but onli jus thought bout doing the engine But ,,
i was on the motorway last nyte playing an managed to pop a piston or two and at least a few gaskets

but im thinking bout fordging it, and was wondering what people have done to theres and what bits they went for??

ne ways it would be nice to knw what to go for because at he mo im a lil confused

prices is an issue but ill find it if i think its worth it

Best thing to do is get a budget in your head as its kind of a "how long is a piece of string question", you can spend anything form 1K for a decent reliable bottom end to in excess of 4k, its down to your pocket the end of the day and what you want from it.

dont skimp on cheap parts mate if your going to do it right,do it right the first time otherwise it will cost you more in the long run.im breaking big spec zvh if your interested.cheers

i am working on a budget, jus not sure how much lol but at the mo im not working so money has been the major factor i dunno weather to ruild it standard till i got more money cuz im foot slaping at the mo
an then get all the proper bits. at a later date
ive got another little issues as the bottom end is the 1.8 zetec so im a bit baffeled as to what parts to get an form where at the moment. are the pistons the 1.8?? or am i jus being dumb???
ive spoke to a couple people about geting it rebuild b4 caperble of hold 300 bhp but the gezza kind of talked me out of it so i went else wer but now she needs doing lol

im also pondering about geting the engine lightened an balenced i cann't find any wer that is interested. any surgestion an pos prices???

nice one zvh ill keep u in mind wen i knw what ive broke lol

well i found out yesterday that i've done a ring an the sleeve.
does any one know a good place to get some piston from????

The CVH block does not have liners so i guess you are reffering to the bore?

If it is bad, you will need a rebore which means new pistons (all four)

i have got the 1.8 zetec bottom end with the standard head
had u all confused ther lmao didnt i
sorri should of give out better spec

an luckily for me they got liners few
