Default mfi to efi

I bet you guys are sick of hearing this, but what is the best efi system to use, how much do you think it would cost and could I do it myself? I've been looking around for a while can't find a good example of the prices.

Thanks guys

'Best' is really difficult. Someone who has X on their car will claim X is the best because it's working and running their engine. Someone will say X is the best because their mate reckons it's the best. Someone will say X is the best because it's their favourite tuners favourite ECU. Someone will say X is the best because it has the longest featurelist. Someone will say X is the best because it's cheapest. Someone will say X is the best because it's in a pretty purple anodised case. Etc etc etc.

It's difficult to get a factual opinion on what's 'best' as 99% of people don't really know what makes a great ECU....

ECU prices range from Ł300-2500 for the aftermarket typically. Add Ł300-400 on top for a loom. Then you have things like fuel pumps, injectors, sensors, manifolds, etc. Can you do it? That depends on how much you know about engine and how to tune them. Anyone (should be able to) learn.

There is no best, its whatever suites you.
I went with Gotech Ł1500 all fitted, drive in one week and pick it up the next.
Does the job for me, best think i find with the Gotech is its simple to map yourself.

finding suitable management is not a problem, I believe finding a suitable tuner or mapper is.
As such I would advise finding a mapper you trust and then taking advise from them regarding what they are experienced with and prefer
