Default Who knows about scalectrix?

As above!

Well I need to know a little about what makes a good car, what makes a fast one and so on.

Attending a random competetion with a few mates where you have to bring your own car so I want the fastest/best!
Its only for a laugh but I want a head start

Any advice?

I used to be well into scalextric years ago, still got tons of it somewhere.

I have got a car made by a company called fly, its a porshe GT1 and not only is it much quicker than the usual scalextric but the magnet is crazy strong that holds it to the track so you can just go flat out basically all the way round lol, nobody could touch me

Used to race a lot with top results a few years ago, differant places allow differant mods on the cars, lighter fluid on the rear tyres makes them really sticky and moving the magnet position would change the characteristics of the car.
