Fiesta RS1800???
Lads,just a quick couple of questions for a friend of mine about an RS1800.
He's looking at a '95 model,good condition,supposedly less than 60k miles but no service history.What kind of money should he be giving for this car,roughly and what are the things to watch out for on them?
Are the engines reliable,is there anything to watch out for??
I'm more into some of the other RS marques myself so don't know much about these.
Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.

No history is a bit of a bummer. Is the condition of the car consistent with the mileage? Ie the interior trim and bodywork.
Watch out for RUST!!!!
The zetec is pretty bullet proof. Early ones sufferer a bit with sticking valves so the correct oil is vital. I'd be looking £2k max if mint condition with no history, but that would be my top offer and I mean mint as well.

He hasn't seen the car yet,just photos and going on what the owner is saying(I know I know it could be a scrapper!)but was just looking for pointers before he saw it.
He says the seats aren't the ones with the wings on top,is this consistent with one that year or were they an option?

i thought these all came with winged seats.
i wouldnt pay more than 2k even if it was a minter due to no history.
id just look out for rust around the sills and behind the rubber. and as said before - just make sure the condition of the whole car seems like its 60k old!
