I'm 28 with 5yr ncb and driving.

I'm on a classic policy thats agreed value & limited mileage & garaged.

This policy for me is £162 per year fully comp, as it's a classic policy you don't need no claims.

Obviously post code will make a difference

I rung Carole nash and they WOULD NOT even give me a quote on a 330bhp cosworth on a classic policy nor even a normal one

The Lady asked if it had mods i said yes,she said how much were the mods??

I replied possibly 3k of mods brakes ,sus, engine, turbo etc etc

She told me they would not insure cos the mods cost was too high even thou i told her the overall valve of the car was 6k

Its with Peter James, i tried most places and they wouldn't cover it as a classic car, mods wern't a problem with P James and got agreed value but you do have to provide them with a cat 1 certificate, may be a little extra if you havnt one fitted

I was quoted the following off direct line online a month ago.

Escort Cosworth
No mods
Motor legal, guaranted hire car, protected ncb
23 y.o, 5 years ncb, 0 points / claims/ accidents/ convictions
£625 (give or take a few pence).

Thought that was realy good and has put it as a contender for my next car.

Focus RS was £482, Focus ST was £500, Escort RS Turbo was £330 and my Mondeo is £410.
