Default Door Rub Strips

Whats the best way to remove them? Dont wanna go and bend em too much as got to refit them to my new doors

warm them up gently with a hot air gun then remove them using a cheese wire.

I used a long snap off blade type stanley blade to cut them off carefully and when off used a solvent to clean them off but nothing to corrosive as it will eat the plastic. You can get some double sided tape to put it back on, thick foam stuff.

the best way us to tape the top of them to the car then cut down the length of them from the bottom to remove them

the easiest way to bend them is when it comes away from the car at one end and is still atatched at the other and it fold on its self

I thought about using a spatula, doesnt matter if i mark the doors as they will be scrap by the end of the week.

I ran solvent from a motor factors that doesn't damage paint or plastic behind them first then used a cheese wire - but they virtually fell off once the solvent got working. Used it to clean all the old foam double sided off the back too.

When putting back on I used a long steel ruler that was taped in the correct position, then rested the trims on them before putting any pressure on them to stick them. As per pic below

^^^ Sounds like tar and glue remover mate....most valet bays use it for removing pitch stickers etc, good stuff.
