Default 2003 FRS - wiring for heated front screen standard?

Strange for me to be asking a windscreen related question

But a mate asked me this eve if a 2003 FRS would have a the loom and terminals already fitted for a heated front screen. I was surprised as I don't remember doing an FRS that HASN'T had a heated front screen, but he insists there's no dash switch for the front, only the rear....

So we were wondering if the loom and terminals were already there for it, and would it be as simple as getting a switch and connector for the dash, and obviously the screen. Then just fit the screen and connect up beneath the scuttle, and pull out the blanking plate on the dash and plug the switch in to make it work?

Stuart Griffiths at Dagenham Motors did this mod on his rs focus, but I seem to remember that he had to buy the screen loom and switch loom and heated screen, but the the wiring was plug in and didnt need any specialist joining. Hope this helps

The FRS didn't come with front heated screen luxury's like that were scrapped due to the large losses of money ford lost while building these cars as for the the simple plug in and play thats not entirly true ether i have never converted one myself but know people who have had it done Pm for any advice could pass it on
