hello mate i work for one of the companys in question, and i will say that they are all within a snif of each other,as provern in performance ford mag a month or two ago.the pace one cooled the air the most as it had the same sort of outlet temps as the others considering the inlet temps were more than the rest which was caused by the turbulater foil which i no has been modded since to be better than before and the new pace 500 cooler has revised end tanks and a bigger volume core .but they are all close so u wouldnt notice a performance differance from one to another on your motor. the one thing that the pace cooler does have over the rest hands down is it is so much lighter than the rest and they do allways look good.they can also make one offs in the case of wanting something abit different

The one thing everyone should bare in mind is the fact that all the manufactures of the RS500 intercoolers say there's is the best, when in many ways they are all the same, it's been proven so many times before. It's so easy to set a compamy up now days and say we do the best products. If you don't want to pay too much for a cooler just get the best deal you can find, if your looking for something that's been proven in motor sport to be the best all round cooler get a Pace one. Just consider how long Pace have been around for, they must be doing something right and again the fact that most motorsport folk use them speaks volumes. The consistancy of quality has also been proven over the years and the after sales service is second to none.

lacey, they are not the same and you would be nieve to think so, just take a peep inside at the cores.
Some companies use proper extruded tubes which are fully brazed to the header plates and finning,
some use extruded tubes which are glued to the fins and welded into the header plates, some use home made cores which have seam welded tubes with pushed in turbulators, also there are various different fin types, profiles on header tank design, bracetry etc.
The important thing to consider in all this, apart from the obvious performance issues is the strength of the cores-there are many 'bowed' coolers running around on cars- they are bowing simply because they are too weak- todays cossies are running higher and higher boost all the time.
ps.. why don't you use one of your coolers on your own car???

o but i do ,only cos it,s a one off dont mean that it aint one of ours cores or should i say two cores as mine runs to cores to create a bigger volume as my cooler needs to be shorter for my ram air system which supplys my t66 turbo with lots of fresh clean air so as to allow me to do 35 psi of boost(with no swelling).so the answer is i do as u will have seen at national day on the performance ford stand.the construction of the coolers may be different but there performances are far from different.the new pace cooler is 99.9 percent different to the ones 6 months ago.one thing i do no is that no mater what any one says pace have most probably sold more 500 coolers then any other conpany i no of..

ps how are things down the road, wayne? alex?

Things are good thanks Dan..
Of course they have sold more Rs 500 coolers than everyone else- They've been making them for 15 years!!!
Are you implying that you don't use the NEW pace 500 cooler because your car is high boost/performance??
Have you driven your car yet??!!! will you be doing any track days next Year???.... WE ARE COMING AFTER YOU..............
