Just bought a 1975 scimitar GTE, I like the little beasty and I think I'm going bufty with it

Its got the 3.0 v6 essex lump.




Its got 10,309 miles from new, its had a full rebuild on the engine/gearbox and overdrive unit at 3000 miles and bills for over 5,000 since 2002.

Its in need of two new exhaust middle sections, exhaust rubbers and I'm going to replace the full loom since its 29 years old but apart from that she's a beast

Oh yeah, and that fricken towbars coming straight off!!!

 

Wow 1975 and only 10,309 miles ,wot did you pay for it

 

Very little, I've been offered triple what I paid for it

Started putting the exhausts downpipes on today, what a pig of a job, pursuaded the manifold nuts to come off eventually with an oxy torch

Next jobs to give it a good spit and polish then on to the shiney bits
