i have a set of escort cos alloys with 205/45/16 eagle f1s i think

they came on my project car and were painted black or alomst black

not the best of jobs and need doing again, 1 wheel looks like its hd the paint flatted as its silver on one part

so any ideas what there worth, dont really want to fork out for a refurb s i wont be using them but i wont let them go for stupid money as id keep them for spares

all tyres are good and wheels look straght no buckles, couple of kerb marks that have been painted over

can get pics if you want but heres a pic of tem on my car when it turned up just to give an idea

obviously no good to me due to the wrong tyre size aswlel so would be perfect for a rs turbo or any other fords

is there any centre caps with them

yes they have centre caps painted black again though one is flaking

not interested in any other hweels as im buying a set of 18s comps for it

i paid £500 for 5 over 12 months ago with brand mew tyres on them but these were in mint condiion

 

Id say 150 - 200, its 40 - 50 quid each for a referb isnt it

 

i agress, plus all the hassle

 

expensive plant pots at 150...

ill give £200. they desperately need a refurb.

 

i sold a mint set for £350 with near new branded tyres 4/5 months ago


Think there worth no more than £200 tbh fella since they need refurbed

buy em new for just over £500

 

i know you can buy them new but that doesnt include good tyres aswell

sorry lads there is no way im letting these go for £200

there not in my way and can stay where they are, if i get them refurbed then ill be keeping them as a spare set of wheel and ill get proprer tyres for them

 

£200 with tyres sounds fair to me i bet theyd fetch that on ebay sometimes tyres are worth more than wheels. A cheap set of16" would cost at least £50 x 4 = £200 wheels for free!!!!!

 

Problem with second hand alloys is tho that the buyer is taking the sellers word that they are straight and not buckled unless he can test drive the car they are fitted to or see them spin on a tyre ballancer machine


Sadly some things just aint worth as much as you think
