Hi Guys,

Right got a surround sound system for Xmas, and im wanting to set it up through my PS3 and Sky+ ect..

Problem is i can get it to work through my PS3 through an Optical cable no problem but when its on SKY i have no sound?? Sound works through the TV when i turn the surround sound off?? Confused to foook

This is how i have it set up..

• Connect the PS3 to the TV via. HDMI
• Connect the PS3 to the Surround Sound via. Optical

• Connect the Surround Sound to the TV via. HDMI

• Connect the Sky+ Box to the TV via. SCART
• Connect the Sky+ Box to the Surround Sound via. Red&White :]

Thats what i have done but Sky only comes through tv when its off, and id like it to be on all time..

It may be something simple, but with a simple user trying to fix it im going nowhere pmsl..

Any advice would be much apprecaited. COD sounds the dogs through surround tho, neighbour might get upset today lol.

with regards to the sky box have you got scart to the tv and then separate phonos (red/white)coming from sky box to surround ?

I dont have sky (I have virgin) and my V+ box is wired surround to tv via hdmi and phonos (red/white) from surround to V+ box so same as yours and works fine.

Have you tried using red/white/yellow phonos to tv/sky from surround? try surround to tv via yellow (usually ext3) and red/white to sky and see if that works

Yeah i have Scart lead from sky to tv, the red and white from surround to sky box. Still no joy.

I have a yellow cable somewhere...i will try that if i can find it...

HELPS IF YOU PUSH FUNCTION BUTTON ON SURROUND SOUND!!....PMSL...wrong av channel pmsl, was moving it looking for yellow cable, hit function button on front...we have sound lol
