Default running hot typical rs!

ive recently bought a minty mint s2 with 1900 power engeering lump with stage 3 everything but its running hot. It only has a pace double width small cooler in traffic starts run hot and then will stay hot. Hot i mean right top of temp gauge. I think its standard fan but wired up to switch doesn seem to do anything its splitting hoses and boilin coolant. What should i be looking at front mount, slim fans or fan switch and thermostat.

thanks tim

try bleeding the water system a few times

if not a pre rad turbo cooler and swirl pot will take care of it gave auto specialists a call they do both

this may not be your problem but had a similar temp issue on my rst when my fan switch packed up
there are a few types about and have a different heat range and will make a big differance to how it runs temparture wise i used the 92/95 degree c one and the car run around the top third of the temp guage then fitted a 89to92 just over half on temp guage then fitted the 82/85 one and the car does not rise over the first third of the guage even under heavy loads and sitting in traffic but i do use twin fans ,on the motor way at constant 70/80 the temp guage is just sitting above the first box and is nowhere near the m
i would first test the thermostat then the head gasket as this may be vapourising the water and causing the high temps deffinately have 2 fans fitted and then use the temp fan switch with the lower operating temps on the hottest day in the summer just gone my car never went any higher than between the m and the r on the guage in traffic

hi all, just put my peice in this.
i also run a 82 degree C motorsport stat and never seen temp gauge go over the third mark, not even under a loaded run.
just thought i'd say.
good cheap quick option that seems to work

Maybe not enough petrol to burn for the larger engine, that's my thought why it's getting hot...
