Default Brake Upgrade

Hi, I am bit of a newbie around the RS Turbos so sorry for my stupid questions.

I am looking to upgrade the brake setup on my S2 from the RS standard size to either a Cosworth (278mm) or focus ST170 (300mm) setup.

1. Would either set up fit straight on without any mods?
2. Would there be any trouble with fitting under 16's?
3. Apart from the Discs, Pads, Calipers what else is needed for the complete conversion?

For the ST setup, you need discs, pads, calipers, the spacers which come with the kit usually and the 4 high tensile bolts. If you look in the for sale section there is a ST kit still for sale IIRC

none of them fit without mods! cus there not ment to be there!
they either need spaces and the st170 kits needs the bolt holes drilled out to 12mm if i remeber right! both will fit under 16's

for both kits i think you need spacers!! i know u do for the st170 conversion!

You don't need to drill the holes out for the 170 setup. My set have just sold on Ebay.

Cheers for the plug though Adam

yup cossie conversion needs either a 1mm spacer for 4x4 calipers or machining if 2wd calipers.
otherwise a bracket (Ł40) to use std calipers with cossie discs

For the st170 setup where would be the best place to get the caliper spacers and high tensile bolts as my mate is selling his ST170 discs, calipers etc from his his ST.

well i've got 2wd disks and mondeo st24 on my s1 all i had to do was drill the hub holes out to 12mm and put a washer in between the hub and caliper and you still can use 15's if you wanted to put it back to standard
