hi chaps,ive noticed my rst when selecting third gear u can feel a crunching through the gear stick and also coming down the gears 2nd can be quiet hard to select, the car has just coverd 39,000 miles from new so i wouldnt of thought it would be nackerd,is there any other way to drain the gear oil than removing the drive shaft as have been told could be the gear oil as it was stood for four years before i brought it,also some one said the linkage could be out? has anyone else got any ideas? thanx rich

 

Alright mate it sounds like 3rd gear syncro is fucked i'm afraid. And the only way to change the gear oil is to pull a driveshift out!!

 

any ideas on how much to get it recond?

 

Make sure you clutch is fully releasing and not dragging!
