Default Pro2call_nl's supercharged RS1800 zetec

Here is an topic of my fiesta mk3 rs1800

I have this car now for about 1.5 years so i wont upload the complete story at once.

OK... here we go.

I had an ford escort 1.3 hcs where the engine almost broke down so she had to go.

Searching on the internet for an rs1800 I found 1 about 200 kilometers away which had an ruined head gasket.

After a couple of call’s and some pictures I went to this guy to see the car. It looked nice in a dark shed. LOL so I buyed the car and took it with me on a trailer.

(some pictures of the car at the seller)

So when I was at home I pulled the engine apart. Not much pictures left

There were no service history so I ordered the complete service kit for the zetec.

Yes again pictures :P

After the parts arrived I started to rebuiled the engine yes on the street in the rain

an update is following soon

So when the engine worked again and drove a week I noticed my tires are totally ruined.

2 wheel bearings almost gone
1 wheel hub
2 shock absorbers worn
1 wishbone gone

Replacing the hub and a bearing:

So after we fixed this problems I noticed some wet feet in the car

So lets get discovering where the problems are…..so out came the dash and al the other parts :P (what was she quick)

next update soon.....

So here is an update this time I post it until today
After an while I was bored with the 130 Bhp…. So out came the exhaust and in came an complete Ashley system.

This was nice.. but to get all the performance out of the exhaust I needed an remap af the ecu. But I wanted later on more power. so I got an DTA System the S40

And after it was installed in the car I needed to go to the dyno…

So 158 Bhp and 190Nm torque.
After the hunger of more power keeps existing
So lets eBay for more stuff…. No no turbo but an supercharger something different ..
After a while the postman was here standing with an huge package…
Let’s check the inner parts of the unit

Everything looks good so lets build some bracket’s

And fit it in the car

YouTube - Ford Fiesta mk3 supercharged[/url]
So with the performance in the eye (275 bhp and 400Nm torque) I need an other gearbox. And ford is just like lego. So I bought an Focus 2002 ST170 6speed Gearbox with axels. the other box is an borg warner T5 for the escort from my mate Roy_mk1.

So lets build the biggest part of the complete setup

My mate took this picture of me…..
So far this update this week more stripping the car and starting welding.

Here is another update
Well we started with braking apart the whole car...

Here started my mate doing some welding..

mean while i started an hanging in the engine with the 6Speed

Welding the gearbox mountings

My mate finished today with the upper gearbox mounting...

The blackbox you see is an Chargecooler from an 04 Focus RS Turbo
well.. more progress isn't here for so far

This week started my mate with building an custom intake for the Zetec which going to house 8 injectors (2 small 1’s per cylinder for better mapping).
For the rest not so much to update the windscreen came out yesterday, the door’s came of, the skirt’s came of by angle grinder , and we modified the engine which came out for the Getrag MT285 gear box for the rest we were fixing my Fiesta2 for MOT…
We also discovert that we have lots of bodywork to do

This time no big update….. srry about that

We modified the engine to accept the starter motor. And fixed an original flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.

We also made the sub frame fit the box…

We also build some kind of ramp for the shifter. So the shifter is closer and under an angle. Much easier to shift. (Yes we also mounted the shift cable’s)

And we made an plate for the charge cooler to stand on…. Further we where busy with removing the bitumen

Let's start this update with an overview of the interior...

last week my mate welded and welded and welded All for strengthen the body. The rust will be done when it is in the rotary spit.
Some pictures of all the welding...

All the strengthen welding is almost done.
After this my mate backed up to weld some intjector hole's on the intake...

70mm Throttle body..

After this we decided to open up the €2500 piece of equipment... the charge cooler to determine the angel of the intake..

And here we are test fitting and cleaning the Ford escort mk5 rs2000 rear diskbrake's. I need to place a couple of ford ka 2000 spacerplate's wich are made to fit.

I'm having holyday for this and the next week so i hope do do alot...

Hiya

where do you see 278 HP? i have 158 NA with only DTA trottle body and exhaust.

That 0,3/0,5 boost will be on NA pistons.. hoping to get 180BHP more than enough for an NA engine.

With the other engine i'm going to aim for 1.5 boost.

Wossner is an piston factory in germany..

Look I have 2 engine's

engine 1: this came out of the car and is NA. i'm going to run the supercharger on this engine. The engine doen't goes any modification. so i run 0.5 bar MAX.

Engine 2: This 1 is going to be fully modified. Gassflowed head, Pistons, con rod's, all the bolt's and so on. The guy who's going to flow the head say's that 275 and 400NM easy is possible. (I keep it low to not be disapointed.) I want to run this engine on 1.5 bar.

Hia

THNX the short block you see in the picture's is the block which have to produce the HP the whole engine need to build up. the head is now being gasflowed. The other (complete engine with the st170 sump) is an NA engine.

I don't know how much i payed for the S40 i think it was 880 pounds including an complete and custom wireing loom excelent quality. If intrested you could send me an message so Icould give you the details of the men who build the loom and also sold the ecu.

After an very long time no update... here is 1
because there was summer here in the netherlands we decided to do
nothing to the car so we can relax in the sun Catching some ray's
Last weeks we have managed to get the roll cage in and some panelwork.
I also bought an sandblasting gun so i can sandblast all the rust gone.
Also we have all the parts from the sub-frame welded and prepared for
powder coating... and last but not least i discovered today more rust

My new sand blasting gun

Some of the new parts... Mocal 16 row oil cooler, Powerflex bushings, OMP tow rings, Forge dumpvalve Bullet Fuel filter and some parts for the rollcage

The subframe/rear axle to get powerder coated

Fitting made for the OMP tow ring

The rollcage fitted

And the extra rust I found today its on the innerwing on the left front side...
