Default MK4 Fiesta Track/daily driver

As I've lost one project and just started another, thought I'd get a thread going on here

My main haunt is ZSOC, and of all other forums Ive been on, thought the zed 'soc was the busiest....until i saw this one!!! I cant keep up!!!

Anyway, things were coming along nicely with my 51 plate Imperial Blue mk5 Fiesta Zetec S (phew)

Spec was:-
Phase two, aircon model
Compomotive MO1661 ET35
4-2-1 manifold + Magnex Cat back
PiperX Induction Kit
Gmax 60mm kit
Strut braces all round (upper front, lower front, rear)
Polybushed rear beam
20.5mm axle spacers
Toyo T1-R's, then Goodyear Eagle F1's
Smoked lights front and rear
Matt black Dimma Show cage

About it really, I loved her. With me being young, it was a brillaint affordable car, with excellent performance for the money, and IMO brilliant looks

However, I am No.1 cock, and she went from this

To this....

And no, before anyone asks, No one else was involved (thank fuck) and there were no passengers, I climbed out from that un aided and with cuts n bruises. Its been a hard lesson, but I do realise how lucky I am, in so many more respects than one!!!

Anyway, this is a project thread!!

We need to go onwards and upwards!!

I love my fiestas and have a liking for mk4/mk5s, My mate happened to have a MK4 1.25 LX sitting on his grandparents drive, I snapped it up, and with a bit of tinkering, got her back on the road after 16 neglected months!

She runs well, but the engines a bit ropey, luckily my mate also happens to have a 1.6 Phase one Zetec S (sigma) lump handy, you guessed it!

Plans performance wise are set in stone, however I am struggling to decide what Im doing visually, but I may have a plan

Today, (or yesterday, technically) I fitted some Leda Coilovers, and I am very impressed with them so far, but need proper wheels/tyres to really benefit from them

A lengthy and crap introduction, Im sure, but keep watching, It will improve very quickly over the winter months

Its scary how lucky I am!!!

The compo's were most likely salvagable, but by now, someone at DMS have had them, aswell as anything else salvagable

But thanks wide ka, there awesome Coilovers, my 13" steelies with mix n match uber budget tyres have found grip since fitting the coilovers!?!?!

As for progress, I have parts and equipment coming from all over, just getting the time to fit them all

Good to see a few more venturing over from zsoc!

Shame about your zs but these things happen and you learn from it as you've said.

Looking forward to updates on the mk4

Dimma Show Cage

If your after safety, dont bother with them.

They are incredibly thin, and offer no strength

Awesome, I hope so, 1.25 wont hold up much longer! and as for the paint....ARGH!

So, Little update

I have recieved Eye Bolts from Zippyracing, Which now means I can fit my Luke 3point harness's. Also, a Colour has been chosen, however I need to paint the car before I change my mind (again)

Engine requires service bits, Cambelt and other parts for the engine change
Tommorow, I have the Morning free, so hopefully will get the dash finished, Steering wheel fitted, Harness's fitted, and oh, Clean the car out!!

You'd be forgiven for thinking That the MK4 has been used as a skip outside the Golden Arches

Yup, its deffinantly not great

Was worth a go, but I will need to save up for a proper one at some point

And as for steelies, If I can find some good tyres for 14"s I will, if not 14"s, may go 15"s
