Default Series 1 Wiring loom!

I need a new loom for my brothers S1 Cabby as it's been butchered good and proper!
Anyone know where i can get one?
I've heard talk of somewhere that makes upgraded wiring looms (fire proof etc.) but cant remember who or where they are!

Cheers!

Yes mate need a complete loom, all the rear lights wires have been cut, all the dash wires have been cut, it's terrible! Looks like someone actually cut it out of one car and then joined it all into this one

How much did you want for the engine loom, just out of interest and what eaxctly does it cover? Headlights, dash etc.. or literally just the ignition and fuelling side of things?

Thanks!

Yeah we were just talking about that, i think fitting a S2 loom is the second best option if we cant get a S1 loom.
How easy was it to fit he EFI loom, was it just the dash that needed rewiring?

some bits on the light plugs clocks where quite easy but the stalks where a bit more involved had to put in new relays sure i seen some one on here who had done the conversion and also got the warning lights on the dash to work

You would need to completely rewire the headlamp circuits, the horn and the wipers. The MK3 uses direct links to each operation from the stalks (+12V), the MK4 runs everything through earth connections from the stalks via relays in the fusebox.

There is actually a lot of stuff that is different between the 2 looms. Central locking is polarised differently, rear wiper, etc...

It is possible, but is more work than it is worth.

Looks like the easiest option is still to find a S1 complete loom!

Its a pain mate, no the base model will have a completely different engine loom (doesnt have Fuel or Ignition ECU's) and half the dash wont work either (Pad wear warning, Oil level etc..)

But thanks anyway!
