....going to get my 4 year old one for xmas.....(and is it a "ds lite" i want)

 

Both of my boys have got them, they don't use them all the time but they seem to go back them every couple of weeks, also very good on journeys, stops them getting bored in the car.

 

Most my family have them They're not only good for kids. I haven't used mine for a few months, but I haven't been in a gaming mood "Can't really be arsed to play me PS3 either).

The multiplayer option using 1 game cartridge in 1 console, but can have upto 8 players is very good

The "Brain" games are very good, which is why most adults buy them. My son and Nephew have been playing Lego Batman on multiplayer for the past few weeks

 

As Matt said both our little boys have them there 6 and 4 and have had them a year or so now :0)

Got the missus and the young lad one for xmas.

 

Bethany and Josh have them, DS Lite is the one you want not the older DS, theyre great for educational purposes as well

 

Me and Kai have one, they are great Peter, I have a Nintendogs game that I got last year for Christmas but I've never played on it, it's the Labrador one and it's still got the cellophane round it. You can have it if you want, I won't be playing with it

buy a r4 cartridge, this is a must for these worth every penny

 

I havn't got a kid, but I have a Nintendo DS....Brain Training is so hard at times!

Plus, you can't get enough of Mario Kart!

a cartridge that takes a memory card, therefore enabling downloadable games to be used on the cartridge

Why? We got our daughter one of the first versions second hand at uber cheap price. And a 4 year old isn't going to care, as long as it plays the games.

to be honest there are better card than the R4 - i had this and found it would not support SDHC cards and will only support upto 2gb SD cards.

I got rid of my R4 card and bought a nintendo edge card which can support upto 32gb SDHC cards.

I assume you can you put more than 1 game on each microSD card using these R4 and EDGE adaptors?

If you had say 5 games on 1 cartridge, how do you choose which game you want to play?

.my pal has one of the cards and he just downloads the games off torrent sites..........20 games on a card..............for nowt......

 

with the edge card you can put 150 games on one sdhc micro card very easy to do

my little one has a ds,,,,,, its her secoond oneas she also has a bunk bed,,,,,, such a bad comboo........... its the easiest way to get a 5 year old in bed early though,,,,, she lays in bed playing bowling/mario cart then when shes tired she turns it off
