Faulty speed sensor which plugs into the gearbox. That is one of the known issues. Sensor is around the Ł130 mark.

yeah more than likely the vehicle speed sensor is faulty although theres a possibility that the dash cluster itself has packed up.needs checking out to see if theres a code set for vss

probably the clocks themselves
they go all the time, very common
there was even a feature on watchdog about it a while back
all the stupid cunts with a 8 year old focus were wanting it recalled and done for nothing
needless to say ford told them where to go

Yup, it'll be the VSS vehicle speed sensor that sits in the gearbox. Good luck getting it out, you'll need it

if its the clocks i can supply you the internals to a focus clocks, basicly remove the dials, take back off takes two secs, and pull off board and replace, i can also supply it to any mileage required.

not a add by the way its just something i can actually advice on and offer for once on here lol

I would contact ford, as I am not sure about the date but do know they were replacing back to a good few years FOC a new cluster, if it's that.
