Thumbs up HMSA now allow any engine in Historic Ford Thundersaloons and Special Saloons.

It seems the HMSA Historic Modsports and Saloon Association have decided to relax the rules with their members by allowing ALL eligible Historic Race Cars,Modsports,Special Saloons and Thundersaloons to use ANY engine and gearbox.

This allows the use of all Historic engines as well as any new Engine Types such as Cosworth 16/24v,Vauxhall 16v and even the Duratec 16v.
So a Special Saloon Ford Escort MK1 or MK2 running the latest Cosworth or other will now be OK.

Well done the HMSA as we are able to use our existing 300bhp All Steel Vauxhall 16v unit instead of finding an original Historic replacement.

Nice pics of Ford Thundersaloons on their site.
