i'd say mint door cards or those trims that go down side of windscreen inside the car, i've had over 30 mk4s and only had 2 where they were mint

funny thing is, i've thrown away good bits for mk4s and even scrapped good shells cos they used ot be so plentiful - now you barely see them in the scrappy!

i picked up a couple of 2nd hand pump brackets that looked nice and solid, just tatty, then i took 1 to work and had it blasted, and litterally watched it fall to pieces and become 90% dust as it was all just rust

the 2nd 1 survived a really light blast, but when i sent it to be powdercoated, they must have blasted it again, then i got a call saying it fell to bits aswel lol

just bide your time mate, i reckon most mk4 stuff is still in the affordable category, few more years yet and demand will pick up - look at s1 stuff now! I had a pair of perfect 90 speccers which i ended up selling for £130 cos had no space - planned to keep them in loft and forget about them!

Yes - i haven't come across a new genuine one (mine is a 90 spec to, though i would have had a 88 spec one if i'd seen one)

All the ones coming off breaking cars have been the same or worse than mine - cracking/rotting under the filler rubber and very thin in places

Correct - no good to me for trackdays either

I'm either having mine repaired or something much fancier made .. it'll end up being the latter i'm sure, but it'll look nice

MK4 quad headlamps that allowed you to retain the indicators.

Dan Savage from my way a few years back had some, bloody nice!
