they dont unless u completely cut out the front panel.my mate gave gave me his old rs500 cooler to try to fit to his car and it just ent worth it too much hassle.
the width of the intercooler is massive and just about touches each headlight

 

I had one in my s1, you do have to cut alot of front panel out and reshape the front cross member. if you look at where the towing eye cover goes you can see how far down it comes. *****edited by webteam*****
