I am about to order my free upgrade from orange and will be selling it because I have bought myself an N96 which i Love. So teh question is, which is going to be the most popular Xmas phone to flog on ebay?

Sony Ericsson C905
Nokia N96

Nokia N95 8GB

LG KC910

HTC Touch Diamond

I feel the new 8megapixel Sony Ericcson would be a good seller as its well advertised at the moment. My second choice is the N96.

I think the most popular one this Xmas will be the Nokia N96. Nokia's always go well at Xmas, last year I flogged my N91 for Ł400!

Put a buy it now on it at Ł350 and I reckon it'll go like lightening. Obviously you could get more. Unsure whether Orange phones are unlocked as default like they are on O2.

The HTC Touch's are going but I think The N96 will be in more demand on ebay. I reckon you could get around Ł400 for a boxed N96 if you let the auction run.

P.S what is an unthusiast?

I'm due an upgrade too, Orange wanted Ł100 for an N96 though. And my bills are always pretty big.

N95 8GB seemed to be the highest value free one available....

I missed IMPORTANT information out. Orange want Ł225 for the N96 and Ł70 for the Samsung.

The others are free.

shouldnt be mate? i think the n96 has the same BL-6F battery as the N95 8GB, which means there twice as powerful as the older BL-5F's found in the silver n95s.

I get 3 days if i dont do much on the phone, if i DO use then i get 2 days easy, which when you consider what the phone can do is great i reckon

I dont do many calls, but yeah if your using the phone then it will go abit quicker, but a day or less then you either have a problem with the battery OR, you have a problem with how much time you spend on the phone talking

If your old one last longer then id be tempted to say it was a battery problem in the new phone, assuming your phone habits are the same with both phones

I suppose I am. The problem is, their tarifs are so damn good i cant use any more than Ł35.

On that tarrif i get:
900 anytime mins
Unlimited free texts

I also have 3 orange magic numbers which means i get 100% free callss to My wife, My daughter and my business partner, and another one is added every 6 months.

How can ANYONE use more than that Ł35!

Good deal yeah, but what isnt good is the fact you give them Ł35 a month and they wont give you a n96 for free AND your an existing customer so they should at least give something back to you.

On Three for example you can get a free N96 on a Ł30 a month contract, thats as new customer aswell.

Id be pushing them for a free N96 or threatening to leave, then you'll get it

Yeah but................Ł35 a month is classed as a higher contract, therefor Ł200+ for a N96 is a pisstake in my opinion.

Clearly your not too fussed so id get the sony

I'd have thought the new phone will be locked and branded, so take care of that and possibly make the choice based on which one will be easiest to unlock/debrand.

On that basis, I'd go Nokia.

N95? I didn't see how much they wanted for that?

A unlockable/debrandable N95 is worth more than a locked/branded Samsung that will be a nightmare to sort out, in my opinion.

How come I am on Orange and paying the same yet I get 200 less minutes? I have the Sony C905 and the button has broke, it hasn't got a click. Not good for a week old phone.

I suppose it depends on what deal you got when you took it out?

When we got ours, T-Mobile were giving more minutes if you bought the tariff online. However, we got a blinding deal on the phones in an independant store and didn't really need the minutes.

I got a deal as i took out two contracts at the same time mate. Ive actually just dropped my contract down to 400 mins and unlimited texts now. Ł22 PM. Due to having 4 orange numbers now, the people i used to spend most money talking too are actually all free of charge. Thats what i call an incentive to stay with a company. GREAT marketing.

I chose the Sony as my mate has one and really loves it plus they are selling like hot cakes on eBay. Grab yourself a Xmas bargain today.

I have one free Orange number and I don't know anyone on Orange. Typical. Do you think I could trade it in for some more minutes? Also, someone phoned me from Orange and told me all I em entitled too which included free internet and other things. I won't be taking them, but good service all the same.

Benni.

Stu,

try it on and tell them you want the phone for free like a new customer.

i'm sure they will either give in or lower the price they want, you can only try.
