Default Valeters Advice please

Ok im a proffesional valeter, and i have an 2.5t nissan skyline to do on saturday its tuned up, i have done these before but never steamed the engine (for obvious reasons.....) but this customer is adament he wants the engine steamed) has anyone ever steamed one before?, is there anything i can do to avoid disaster) i normally cover ecus, stay away from plugs etc)

Just do as you say, if it goes tits up so be it, risk he's taking not you mate.

i NEVER steam engine bays, not worth the hasle. either tell him its down to him if anything goes wrong and get him to sign something or dont do it

Draw up a disclaimer, saying you advise against doing it, and that you accept no responsibility for any damage howsoever caused and some other legal bollocks.

No doubt he has an electrical fault as it is and just wants to blame you for it.

yeh think ur right peeps will just say no thanks i think, i would rather loose the job then pay for an engine!

i never steam engines! nothing but hassle.

i would either use brake cleaner to get the shitty oily bits cleaned and get my hands in the nooks and crannies with a good cleaner and a radiator brush

otherwise tell him no chance!
