if the suppressor on my alternator(s2 rs turbo) has corroded and fallen off its post,will this stop the car from starting! ta in adv>

yes ,it turns over but wont start,but its been lain up for ages, new battery,starter,clutch,plugs,etc etc,and all back together,but wont start,
my starter was always slow, so i treated masell to an edge, its turnin over like a devil,but just wont start,BUT,ive a toad alarm ,which is opening the doors on lock,must need re-set,and ,the imob seems to work correctly,so theres a few things it might be,?
just wondered if the suppresor was fookd ,this would halt the starting.(miffed )!?

 

dont make any differance to starting it
just makes the stereo sound a bit whiney when reving engine

 

cheers ,i take it it is the black /grey box that spades onto the 3pin plug side,

ill hafta check everything again. doh! maybe bad fuel.
