Thers a line in the dizzy which should be in the centre of rotor arm(can't see it in pic)

crank pulley needs to be on the right of the alloy pointer

I always do 2 full turns of crank without plugs in just to be sure

reminds me of the time I fitted a new cambelt on my old cossie, rang a 'specialist' to ask about the crank marks and ended up lining it with the wrong one..

sounded quite nice when I fired it up!

Best bit was I'd just changed the tappetts and thought it was those making the noise, no wonder they didn't shut up after 2 miles down the road

Timed it up with the other mark and it soon shut up

So mate you got it all sorted then. I hate doing timing belts on any car never mind my own. Ive heard of people changing the timing belt on cossies without taking the bottom pulley off.
