Piston brand doesn't have a huge amount of relevance these days, unless you're going for something outrageous.. more important is the overall spec of the engine (including compression ratio, mainly dictated by piston design)..

 

pistons are not all that as you have to skim far to much off to get the right compression ratio.imo better getting some cp pistions

 

It is quite a big spec Zetec Turbo so would have some relevance in this case it seems.

ditch that fiesta idea mate and buy a proper car !!!, look at the price of S4's !!!

why spend all that on a fiesta,,, you done it and was great and fun,,,,, nows time to chill and relax

i keep saying im gonna rebuild the cabrio, i got all the parts to finish it too,,,, just i know its gonna be wank to drive

keep the cossie and spend the cash on that if you wanna drive some old motor :blah:

 

he said the cossie isn't exciting enough and that he loved his fiesta, for what he wants isn't your average zetec turbo and he's looking big money built properly regardless of what he thinks which i personally wouldn't do just to run it down a 1/4 mile as i think theres only so many times you can do that before you get bored (quickly). Good luck though si as should be interesting

i was the one that said a cossie aint the same as hes fiesta, dont think its just that though i also think theres more to it aswell but the main issue is he likes a rag about car thats a little special over other peoples cars,,,, a cossie will just be a cossie unless its a big spec and that will cost twice as much as the cossie cost him

the fiesta suited hes driving style alot more im sure as a cossie is about high speed rather than ragging about

i also recon he should start getting into track stuff too

 

ive tried saying track is where its at, i havn't done alot of it yet enough to decide 1/4 mile is crap and i couldn't care what my car does on it due to rather it handling on a track

Yep, the ones i had for my Zetec turbo (ZVH turbo pistons) needed loads skimmed of the tops, would have ended up like tin foil. Not sure if they spec a piston just for the Zetec turbo yet.

i think i know simon a LITTLE bit better than you, when he was looking at a cossie i was telling him its nothing like hes xrt that he loved,,,, and hated at the same time but it suited hes style

he got a cossie and loves what he can do with it but aint all he wanted from the car i belive hence hes going back to a xrt, he also wants a s4 and has done for a long time so im recomending a mate to buy another option before he goes back to the xrt thing

just like hes recomending me buy a tvr,,,,, and also recomended a M3 over a subaru,, but i ignored him after trying both

he aint someone ive met on the internet and speak to at meets ect, we are mates who have slept at each others houses, fitted engines for each other in pissing down rain/freezing cold and towed each other places and loads of other favours,,,,,, so i think i know him a little bit ( though he never came round my place on saturday to collect these engine mounts i bought for him !!!)
