Hi,

you only get three channels on it at the moment.

It will be great. If you have sky HD you get these channels anyway inc SKY Movies HD

yes, simple plug and play mate, it runs from the same satalite as sky

no subscriptions etc, just free tv.

its also available in hd if you have a hd tv, you just need to buy the hd version of the receiver

You need to buy a freesat card.. typically Ł20 one-off payment.

That may very well be the case - I only recently looked into this for my old man who has a digibox.

from what i can see, you get more channels on free sat, compared to digiboxes...

but its the hd bit im really after

i got a new sky dish with quad lnb, and decoder on ebay for Ł80...so i can have the free sky channels, as its a quad lnb i can then also plug a freesat box into it, so i have freesat channels and hd, and i can also have sky and freesat upstairs if i can be assed lol

I'm not really seeing the advantage of "FREESAT"... most TV's have built in digital free view. So you get 3 channels in HD for 130 quid?

Not a dig mate as I maybe missing something here?

It is annoying though.. Sky HD kicks ass, but when it says on ITV "this program is also being shown in HD.." FREESAT only
