Going to replace my bottom end soon, I've got the head off, turbo + manifold + exhaust off, so it's just the bottom end and the box in the car. Best way to get them out? drop it all out the bottom, or is it possible to get them both out the top?? (box is broke as well!)

 

i found it easier to drop it out the bottom mate,but i stripped mine back to a bare shell.
