series 1 brakes
any one know ant decent upgrades for the s1 brakes has 4x4 cos one with ferodo pads but still seem crap plus i want to keep the standered wheels

is everything else on the system working as it should be? new brake fluid makes a big diff!
braided hoses?
what makes you say they feel crap? pedal pressure, bite?

has new braided hoses new pads new cylinders new shoes new lines to rear its just the pedaL feels crap

some change to a s2 master cylinder
has a slightly bigger bore

Ive got the 4x4 calipers with 2wd discs on my S2 with braided lines and they work the tits, they only have cheap n cheerfull pads in to!, maybe the S2 master cyliner is the way to go?

sounds like there will be a simple solution to the prob, just hard to do over a pc

series 2 master cylinder what and use the t pieces in the lines how are they piped

cant see it to be the master cylinder thats causing this, I had a series 1 with standard brakes 8 years ago, and the brakes always seemed alrite.
Have you had it pressure bled?

hear about series 2 calipers on 2wd discs being better that cossie calipers anyone done this

The 4wd coz calipers have a bigger piston than the S2 ones so you have an increased clamping force.
I went from S2 Calipers to 4wd coz and they were noticebly better.
*Make sure your calipers aren`t seiezed in any way
*Use a good quality brake fluid
*Braided hoses all round
*Bleed the system properly
If all the above is done properly/ok then they should work fine to be honest.
