Default rs turbo fuel computer

I have a 1988 rs turbo. I have a fuel computer to put in it but I can't find the plug. Did the earlier cars come without this option?

Thanks

Is your car original, could have had the wiring for it removed.
as far as i'm aware is was an optional extra on all but the late 90 spec cars- if it wasn't fitted it won't have the wiring/plug etc as mine didn't.

If the car left the factory with one then there should be an extra bit of kit on the metering unit with a plug to which the fuel computer connects and runs from. I think it is by the metering head....???

There doesn't seem to be any wiring there. Was there a seperate wire running from the metering unit to the fuel computer or did the wiring run in the loom?

Thanks
