I don't know if you remember all the hassle we had with camping this year, we had quite a bit of bother with a few local groups and one of the Derby members had his car crashed into by some pissed up dickhead who decided to go driving round the campsite at 4am.

I'm sure there will be camping next year but I'm not sure if everyone will be invited to camp. It's something which both groups will have to discuss

I'm glad you enjoyed the show this year, it makes us proud of what we put on when we get positive feedback from people who attend

Paul, I would like to camp if possible yes.

Claire, I heard there was an incident, but I saw nothing of it, all I saw was happy people having a laugh in a responsible way, and a really nice setting to camp on in the first place (we were down between the bank and the "nature reserve" bit in the middle)

Real shame if a couple of idiots have spoilt it for the rest of us!

Oooops

My lips are sealed

I'm sure there will be camping for those that can be trusted not to cause agro but to be honest it's up to the committee of both groups to sort it out, it's definitely not right that the actions of a few should spoil it for everyone else. Unfortunately though there are some really selfish folk about who just don't care and can't see past their next pint

I'm just looking forward to getting back out in the car to be honest, it feels too long since I've done a track day, I've probably forgotten how to drive

I believe Dingy is a committee member and he saw how well behaved we were, so can I use him as a reference?

Im sure you will be fine after the first couple of corners, its bound to come flooding back.

OK GUYS - BEFORE EVERYONE GETS ALL EXCITED!!!

A few issues have arisen from our 2008 event which we are addressing for Croft 2009.

1) Camping will only be available to people partaking in the event ie: Track entrants, traders, concours and visiting groups. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC CAMPING as yet. This has been stipulated to us by Croft.

2) Track applicants that apply will only recieve confirmation of their booking and be BOOKED ON TRACK upon receipt of full non-refundable payment**

** Payment will only be refunded in the event of your place being sold on to a person on the reserve list which clears prior to the event.

3) Croft 2009 will be an ALL TICKET EVENT!! Every person who books for any aspect of the show will need passes and entrance tickets for people to gain entry. NO TICKET, NO ENTRY!!!!! General public can still pay on the gate but cars will not be allowed into any of the paddock areas.

4) There will be curfew's for the following within camping area:

* Car movement.
* Loud Noise and music.
* Entry / Exiting circuit grounds.

5) Each car entering the paddock area's with passes will be given rubbish bags. Each "group" will be responsible for keeping their area tidy and if not then this will affect their inclusion to any future Croft events we do.

Just so everyone knows why we have had to include such stipulations for our next event..............

2008 we had:

1 Damaged Audi - cost to us to fix £1800
2 Damaged Toilets - cost to us £120
2 Stolen Helmets - cost to us £350
Fire damage - cost to us £150
Complaints and concerns from people camping with regards to people getting too drunk etc. One guy had to sleep in his van with his kids as he felt UNSAFE and a few more complaining that they we there with their kids to watch people run around naked after 2 cans of Carling!!!! NOT GOOD!!!!

I hope you can understand where we are coming from and we hope to make 2009 another fantastic event and we are going all out to make it the best yet!! We may have a few treats for everyone!!

This non refundable tickets thing, is it like last year where if you cant make it the club sells the ticket then on selling it you get you money back?

The reason i ask is because i work away and dont know if i'm home or not but would rather book and be away than not book and have to go and watch and wish i had got a ticket

That all sounds fair to me Scott.

When you say track entrants can camp, I assume that includes passengers?

if there looked after they are ok most fords like the cossies and rs turbos are over 15 years old. The newer fords are spot on for reliabilty.

Like the idea of tickets for camping etc, my weekend last year was totally spoilt by a group of strangers camping next to our group and causing all sorts of problems to the point that at 3 am most of our group where up arguing with the univited lot, as they refused to go to bed, I was on track both days and got an hours sleep on the saturday night.
then to cap it all our group is blamed for the noise and hassle as people wrongly believed the uninvited lot where with us when that was clearly not the case..
out of the group of approx 10 I knew 2 of them the rest where plain thugs..

on a good note it is the best show of the year for me and I will be on track both days again..

Have edited my post above to show refunds......I did put in asterix to do that last night but forgot as it was late LOL.

Can't be picky with what books on track as it would be financial suicide. Croft costs us a LOT of money to hire and don't suppose you'd like to pick up the shortfall if we don't fill the track with all Fords?
