i'm looking for a pic of both 88-spec and 90-spec inner wings, i've only heard of a few people saying there is a difference (hence the header tanks being different) but no other cunt seems to listen. Does anyone have a picture of either or both as i'm starting to doubt this now, anytime i've searched the web for this it's only ever passionford that come's up.

The 90 spec header tank is definately steeper/deeper.

 

i'm sure it was you that told me about it Christian, i've mentioned it to a few people up here when i've been gettin different parts and not one person has agreed.

someone that said there wasn't a difference also said the spotlight brackets were the same but i have both and on side-by-side inspection they are different so that makes me think you're right

 

There is absolutely NO doubt that the Header tank is different. Aftermarket tanks made for pre 90 spec cars look ridiculous on a 90 spec car.

 

Kevin, the header tanks are definately different shapes.

top one is 90 spec, lower is early 86-89

 

The drivers side one changed over around August 89 time. The later one has a steeper slope on it.

You can see the difference easiest on the wheelarch side of it in the different hight of the circled pressings.

i had a 90 spec header tank in my 87 erst,it does still fit but sits at a slight angle

 

Jambo, whats the script with the end of your airbox? Did you just shave it off to get more air in??
