Default Headlights S2

Hi. My S2 has developed a problem with the lights, dip beam both sides work (1st click). Main beam both sides (2nd click), dont work and the dip beams go out. High beam works. Swapped the 2 little brown relays round and still the same. Also I swapped the light stalk over, changed the bulbs for known working ones. Still the same.

Any help will be much appreciated thanks.

I had this prob on my old Series 2 it was the white relays need to take them out and clean the contacts and then get a small screw driver and bend the connections in the fuse box a little bit.

What i done on my old Series 2 was lifted the fuse box then re run the wires to the white relays to in side the car under the dash never had any probs after

I had this problem many moons ago only mine went out at about 90mph!
There was a faint smell of burning plastic, when i investigated, the contacts in the fuse box had opened up casing them to arc between the spades on the white relays causing heat build up.

In the end, i had to lift out the fuse box and put new spade connectors on a few of the wires as the original connecters were FUBAR`d, was not an easy task! Been ok since tho!
