Default What dash with Pectel T2 ECU???

Hi guys,

Thinking of going T2 management on my yb engine. I am looking to put in some sort of digital dash like aim, stack etc...

Question is which one will work best with a Pectel T2 ecu? I can't see any issues with wiring them up seperately but ideally i'd like them to be compatible with eachother for error codes, warning lights etc...

Thanks for any useful info in advance.

Cheers
Dan

aim is the best bet.order your wiring loom with the connector for AIM dash

prometheus(fraser) does that

Stack run seperate from the ecu anyway Dan.

the Aim dashes can plug into them.

Or - with the Pectel ECUs you can run the Pi Research dashes...

Truly awesome kit and virtually the same money as an AIM

AIM MXL. I use one connected to a T6 which is far as I know uses the same data outputs as a T2. The AIM supports T2 eitherway in its software setup no probs.

Comes highly recomended by me!

You can setup all the warnings you like simply in the AIM software.

to run the dash with a proper ECU, its 4 wires, not rocket science.

Think what Ryans saying is that the AIM/Pi dashes etc. run on CAN so you can interrogate a datastream with 2 wires - then all the other wiring consists of is an ignition live and a ground.

exatly will, CAN or Rx/Tx, depending on what the ECU supports, which is 2 wires,

then power and ground.

only other input you need is a speed sensor, 90% of the dashes will be this same configuration, then you can have aux/user input for sensors.

See my post above about race technlology....... www.racetechnology.co.uk

They should have a pectel ecu interface in their list by now.....

I intend to use one of these on my current project.

Dan, did you miss my AIM comment above? Tested and proven and massively configurable at the flick of a keyboard. Also takes a direct link from AIMs wideband system giving you AFR on the screen.

Hi Rich, yep I would imagine you can although you would have to use an analog input and configure it using the lambda setup in the Aim software.

The Aim wideband controller is the AIM LCU-ONE. Ive got the CAN version which connects direct to the dash via CAN and then I use the serial RX/TX direct to the T6. You could probably also put the Lambda into the ECU and then feed the AFR to the dash from there (if your ECU can do wideband?)

Nope! I use the AIM LCU-ONE not the Innovate.

Motec SDL.

It has outputs as well - so can do programable fan control, water spray, pump control etc.... Not many of the other dashes have outputs. Pectel T2 will take a linearised AFR into it for closed loop control and then you can get AFR to the dash by RS232 from the Pectel.

Most of those dashes do not have outputs - with the aussie dollar this would cost something like 750 quid.

I also think you will have trouble fitting an AIM or a Race TEch dash into a sierra pod as they are a bit tall - but correct me if wrong.

http://www.motec.com.au/aboutdisplays/displaysoverview/

And then you can buy a PDM and talk to everthing to run more and more stuff - no relays - no breakers yey!!!!!!!

http://www.motec.com.au/aboutpowerdi...utionoverview/

Good way of expanding i/o - and can take fuel pump control via tacho relay away from pectel and also buy pectel without rev counter output to free up T2 outputs on T2 to run a boost control/something else.
