... allegedly.. I'm seriously LOL'ing at this load of tripe

There is a facebook I set up ages ago, for my old house, and seeing as it was for my house, I freely handed out the password to friends (genuine ones, not just anyone mind) so people could edit the profile and such, it was just a laugh.

Now, its been changed to the name of my old housemate, allegedly by me, and i have received a letter from him, not his solicitor (badly written waffle to be honest, with a hint of threat) stating that he wants to and i quote "take me to court for slander, deformation of character, a this smear campaign could have resulted in loss of earnings," BUT THERE'S MORE (somehow he sees this as connected) the non sale of my car to his nephew. pmsl!!!

Firstly, he's bankrupt and on the dole, so I dont see how any loss of earnings could be considered valid. Secondly, slander is spoken, libel is written, so i'd like to see him pull that one off
and thirdly, its defamation.

Made me genuinely LAUGH OUT LOUD. The facebook page in question I have now deleted, but before I did i took screenshots of it, and noticed a few things: the times of the updates.... I was out in town, at work, and elsewhere when several of these took place. The name..... well, simply put its spelt wrong, and thus doesnt refer to the person in question at all!!

And as for the (somehow related) car sale, simply put, he took it out without my permission and broke it, so i didnt return his deposit, which I am well within my rights to do. Completely unrelated, and I will be speaking to the police about Theft of my motor vehicle, which I have proof of, with the recovery reciept. LOL

Any thoughts? I'd enjoy this in court, but we'd be done for wasting the courts time

As it happens, i met a girl on wednesday who's a solicitor, and we had a brief chat about it, and she pissed herself when she heard about it all!!

So, do I actually go to a solicitor and instruct them to write me up a letter basically saying "fuck off" or, do I photocopy his letter, anotate it in big red pen, (he's a teacher ffs!!) and send it back to him with the suggestion that he keeps his waffle to himself, and stops slandering me all over leicester.

Havent stopped chuckling all day. The girl i met on wednesday rang me today (the solicitor) and i read out the letter to her, word for word (including pointing out the spelling mistakes) and after she stopped laughing recommended i do two things: 1) LOL
