part number, the big long one.. they differ for aircon models thats all I know, i'm sure there is loads of different types tho.

I need to replace mine, and i have another but not sure if it's large or small turbo, the car is small turbo just wondered if there was a way to tell without taking it out the car??

i was led to believe that there was 5 different fuse box variations.

for what spec and to what level of variation i cant comment tho, as ive never had to work on one.

do the 2 you have both share the same part number atall, if you can see it!?

There is a few different part numbers for them, mine was replaced last year i think ford wanted around £280 for one so we found an escort ghia at the auction that had the same part number fuse box in it & bought the car for £80 after the alloys, cat & rest of it were weighed in the fusebox was free plus a few pints lol

i don't know if its me but are these escort cosworths electrical nightmares, i'm a sparky and i have trouble having all my switchs working on the same day no mater how many repairs i do!!

worth it tho!!

I am pretty sure that several numbers are the same essensially but have some jumpers fitted in different places for different models, but it's been several years since I have investigated that. I ended up ordering new one from Fords.

as above there are about 5 different boxes, none are cossie specific as such, just high series spec with all the options for variable wipers, hated scrren/mirrors etc,
