Is it wise to buy a head gasket set on ebay? There are 2 or 3 manufacture but Ive heard that the original head gaskat is the best, is this true?

How about the head stud? Is it safe safe to buy the studs that are on sale on the ebay? Are they any good?

You need to fit either a Ford RST or a Payen head gasket.

The rest oif the gasket set isn't as important, but some are real cheap and crap.


Head stud's, as in for manifolds? if so, Ebay should be fine as long as to std spec's.

i buy mine from ebay i got a payen head gasket full set from a company called gaskets for classics try www.gasketsforclassics.co.uk i only use ford or payen
for head bolts try a company called www.burtonpower.co.uk
or if you use the gaskets for classics you might aswell get them from there save on postage
i pay £40 for everything for the top half set
