Shell V-Power 100 RON

I noticed in Germany that V-Power comes in 2 forms, RON 95 and RON 100 (called V-Power Race).

Is RON 100 safe to use in a road car? I think its got ethanol in it

What do you mean safe?

Is your car mapped for 100 RON fuel if not, what's the point? It will be slower on 100 RON than if you run it on 95 RON or what ever its mapped for.

I'm not talking about my car, just a standard car in general.

My point being, running a car on high octane fuel can be beneficial, but problems will start occurring if the octane rating is too high or if the fuel has ethanol in it.

going 2-3 points above the number your car is speced to run on will be fine.

Going to high will make it hard to get the engine to start.
