Default 4x4 rear disc backing plates still available???

After some new backing plates that go behind the rear discs, although I have a sneaky suspicion that these are no longer available new, is that correct???
Also i believe the 2WD ones are different?

2wd ones should be the same

and, based on that logic, so should the ones for the scorpio frog faced 24V versions

these stopped production in 1998 or so, so they should be about somewhere

one more thing, the normal sierra backing plates fit as well, even though they are much smaller and so might have some sort of effect on the cooling side of things

Cool, didn't know the 2WD ones fitted, as all the ones on ebay just list 2WD only and not 4x4, i heard the Mk3 scorpio ones fitted somewhere else so that's good to know someone else agrees!

they are the same hub carriers on the 2 and 4wd cars and the granada 24V's use the same hubs as well

the scorpio also uses virtually the same hub carriers but with a different offset to the calipers and discs

how are they different?
can you put up some pics to show us what's changed between the 2?

and, if they different, does that mean they won't fit? or is it just that they are different but will fit?

the 4wd ones are shallower due to the thicker vented discs

why's that then when the vented bit of the disc is added to the outer part of the disc rather than the inner part?

just trying to get my head around some of this confusion, i've got a set of really crumbly back plates at home for the 4wd cos so i'll see if i can get some measurements from them

as said the 4wd are shallower due to the extra thickness of the vented disk also the 2wd bends round 10mm on it circumfrance.
