help cossie missfire dam thing
i have a saph 4x4 i fitted new plugs and put the recomended gap in the plug, test drive for 6 mile very good for a matter of fact it was much better than the old ngk plugs.
6 mile up the road after doing around 80mph it was perfect, now i take a steady drive back home at 55mph and thought shit it isnt going to get me home loss of power taking along time to get up to 70mph but when i got to that it run fine again...
spark plugs are ford genuine part with correct gap i double checked on it.
has my car been remapped or chipped i dont know if it has but would the gap be diffrent from
factory gap...
also battery keeps going flat when the car is left for 2 day's, i found out that the abs unit will pump or make a noise every 15-20 mins why would this be...

Sounds like it is over-fuelling to me, fouling the plugs up when cruising. What injectors are you running? where abouts in the rev range is it missing? Was on light/partial/full throttle?
yes your right i should of said that it does stink of fuel
i dont know anything about what has been done to it or what injectors are on it
at 2500 rpm in 3rd gear around 50mph its really bad and holds back

It needs looking at anyway by someone with a rolling road preferably for a fuelling check, but I would check in the ecu first to see if std or not chip is there.
The fave on these is the CTS sensor goes duff usually stinking rich, so I would change that anyway about Ł10 or so, get the co right and then you can adjust if needed the idle speed afterwards.

try the health check one
but theres loads of info there if your not sure what your looking for
First job is look at the injector and see what colour they are e.g Green, blue, yellow.....
On the passenger side of the dashboard their may be a cover, remove this and the ECU is there.
The plug gap will vary as to what injectors your running.
