my m8 has a standered rst s2 and it wont run propley
when he got it it was over boostin drove about 5 miles then died then got it runnin agin and then would not boost proply changed the turbo 4 a good 1 came off good runnin car now wont boost at all ive changed leads plugs coil dizzy then it would only run till got warm and would not go over 2.5 revs then dies still no boost ?then changed the meterin head started first time ever and then died afte r 5mins
any help info would be gr8

 

Have u checked all boost hoses are on tight also is actuator bar on as they fall off some times apart from that i dont no

 

tried a different ecu

 

fucked boost hose colapsing ?

 

sounds like fuel problem tho i had same problem i changed meterin unit and was fine though

 

thanks for replys i have changed the ecu and the acurator was change when i changed turbo
could it be a fualty meterin head as i did not see the new 1 work

Al - is this a red S2 chap? Only asking cos I know of a red S2 that had a very similar problem and was recently sold - the chap with it now has a motorsport sunstrip on it? - This the one?

If so a mate of mine owned it and I know most of the work he did it try and cure the problem previously - could it be the same one?

m8 got it of ebay with a boost prob the guy had him a peach m8 he delivered it took money and ran
hes spent about 500 on it already its a dog aswell
i told him to bang it back on there get rid but no he goes and buys a load of shiny shit insted it aint even runnin yet and no t&t
ive tryed my best but hes bringin it up the work shop next week and when there ill have to charge hinm for wot i do so if i get a few ideas of here then i maybe able to get shot quick save him sum cash if u no wot i mean

 

Ah - thats ok then, cos thought the problem was solved on this other one, but thought it might have been intermittant and returned. We replaced the inlet manifold and injector pipes on this one and it seemed to solve the problem on his.

Its really hard to know without seeing it and mucho fiddling with it though

 

well at the mo all ive done is pop down and say check this change that but as i said its now cummin to me so should be able to sort it
