Anti roll bar link rods
Cheers everyone,
I just have a question regarding anti roll bar link rods for rear to Cosworth 2wd. I've seen that they are available on eBay but they seem very much shorter than the ones I have seen. Is it only the picture that is lying or are they same length?
Here is a illustration from CosKev3's car, hope is ok that I borrowed your picture.

Thanks for your reply Andy. You mean that the links on your RS500 is shorter than the ones on CosKev's car? Maby there is a difference from 3 door to sapphire? I looked under my saff last weekend and they were the same length just like on CosKev's car.
Many thanks for the pic, I can see that they are much the same size as the ones on eBay. So I guess they won't fit saff then. Maby they are still available from Ford...

some of the 3 door ones are shorter due to the arb being different
for he normal saph drop links, they are the same as the escos one and every sierra/granada from around 87 onwards

@dojj: Thanks, nice to know.
By the way, I got the whole beam down today and how do I release the arb links from the arm? Is it something to do with the small rubber bushes?

Put a little grease on the head of the bolt bit that holds them on, then just lever off, they can be a pig, but easy to make a puller as I have, then does not even take 30 seconds, I made mine out of an old puller I had in a brake flaring kit, as no longer needed for that, just filed/cut out to suit the links.

leveringthem off just means using a bar on both sides to pop them off
much easier to use a puller to get them off cleanly
one side has the slidy bit longer than the other for some reason

Managed to get the links off today, some grease on it and they came right off. Got to get some new bushes when fitting them again. Is it correct that the finis code on these are 6046484?
One question regarding the big donut beam bush as i'm going to fit a powerflex bush here, does the bolt that goes through it needs to be longer when fitting a new bush? I think I've heard something about that before.
Thanks for the help so far guys, much appreciated!

As said the bolt is the same one, though a trick is to use a bit of studding in the hole that is longer than the bolt to wind the whole lot up, put the plate on with the two other bolts to hold it there while you swap between the studding and the original bolt, but as said easier if you just jack, if you have the room etc.

another thing to remember when doing the beam bush is to make sure the hole for the bush is clean
you might want to rub some emery paper around the inside to clean up any crap thats in there, then washing up liquid to slot it home nice and easy

Great, thanks mates. I'll go for the standard bolt length for the beam bush then, good to hear actually. Does anyone knows what colour that is close to the blue driveshaft bolts? Christ, I must be crazy when painting bolts...

I just bought new bushes from ford. As said though, 3dr's ran short stumpy links, whilsts saffs were much longer.
