coolin off periods are norm 14 days i believe , u normally have to buy the term of the contract up ! so if its 18 months then it aint gonna be cheap,

y u want out ? shit phone ? shit tarriff ? or some other reason ? better deal elsewhere ?

they dont make it easy to get out. if you just cancell the D/D they will put it into the hands of a debt collector to recover the cancellation fee , which will be at least the remaining months worth of line rental.

see if they will switch you to a different tarrif, ie pay a little more a month but get more free calls or texts.

They have you over a barrell I think, so speak to them and see what you can do.

you may be stumped then mate, read the small print on the contract and see what it says.

I would personally look at what the contract will costs you more than a rival, and compare it to the cancellation charge ie

if it costs 300 to cancell, but switching will save you 500 over the 18 months, then worth cancelling.

Sell the new phone you got and use your old phone. If you get Ł100 for your new phone this will offset your extra cost a little.

didn't you ask about this the other week? might have been someone else,

as said in the thread the cooling off period is normally 14 days , we've upgraded contracts, got the new phone then cancelled and reverted back to the old contract until we decided what to do
Best bet is to give them a call and explain, but i can't imagine you'd have much luck after a month
